How are your pieces made?

 

I make them all! It's just me, working my magic. Each piece is crafted with Jesmonite, a VOC-free (no bad toxins) casting compound. Due to the nature of this product, you may find unique attributes in every piece like bubbles, color variations, and differences in levels or finishes. Rest assured, each product is inspected for quality, built to last a lifetime.

 

Can I order a custom product?

 

Unfortunately, I'm currently unable to fulfill custom product requests. But fear not! I have a wide range of ready-to-choose pieces for you to explore. Take a look and find your perfect match!

 

Do you do wholesale products?

 

With over 35 retailers worldwide, I'm currently at full capacity for wholesale orders. However, don't hesitate to reach out as there may be gaps in my schedule where I can accommodate an order. Let's chat and see if we can work some magic together!

 

Are my products water proof?

 

Some of my products are now waterproof! However, this feature is limited to certain pieces based on the finish of the waterproof sealer. Currently, the Very Vase is waterproof inside (where the water for flowers sits), while the exterior is water-resistant only.

All other products are coated with a water resistant sealer. While it is safe to occasionally get your product wet (think coasters), it is recommended that you don't keep it in a space where it will continually be wet with no time to dry out. This may reduce the quality of your product, stain the product or reduce its life span.


None of the products are dishwasher or oven safe. 

 

I’ve spilt something on my product how to I clean it?

If something spills on your Jesmonite piece (especially oil or abrasive products), it's best to wipe it down with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner, such as dishwashing liquid, as soon as possible. Wet wipes and disinfectant wipes also work well too.

 

Can I use my piece for eating from?

You can safely use our Big Ass Fruit Bowls to store your fruit and vegetables with skins. Remember to wash your products before eating. However, please only store fruits with inedible skins, such as bananas, oranges, lemons, and limes. Remove any decaying fruit from the bowl immediately, as the porous surface may absorb liquid and make it unsafe for future food storage.

Jesmonite is not considered food-safe for direct consumption, even after sealing. 

Will my piece have bubbles in it?

It's very likely! The nature of this product means that each piece may have unique attributes like bubbles, color variations, and differences in levels or finishes. Embrace the charm of these quirks that make your piece one-of-a-kind! 

How strong are your products?

Jesmonite is incredibly strong and durable, much more than ceramics. However, like other breakable items in your home, handle them with care. Though strong, they can still be broken or chipped.

Can I burn candles on your products?

Yes, you can! Jesmonite pieces are heat-resistant to very high temperatures, making them safe to use as candle holders. However, be mindful that an open flame may leave char or burn marks that are irremovable. Please avoid exposing your piece to an open flame at the end of the candle's life. Also, keep in mind that candles may contain oils and scents that could potentially stain your product. Consider this before burning a candle on your piece.

My product has arrived broken, what do I do?!

Firstly, don't panic.....we can fix this!

While I take great care and make every effort to ensure your product arrives safely, sometimes accidents can happen in transit. If this has happened to you, please get in contact via Instagram or the contact page on my website ASAP so I can help resolve this.

Please capture photos of the box and the damaged item so if it is a problem to do with transport, I can claim it back on insurance.

Do you accept returns?

Under Australian law you’re entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if your item is faulty. What would be deemed as faulty generally won’t make it to my website. If you believe your item is faulty however, please get in touch so we can rectify this for you.

As stated above, items will be differing heights, colours, textures and so on, please make sure you’re ok with this before purchasing as this is not considered faulty.

I am a very small person and business if you have any questions before buying, please reach out, I am more than happy to answer your questions to ensure you’re going to be happy with your purchase.

However, if your item/s arrives and you’re like REALLY unhappy with it, I will accept your return. Please get in contact to arrange the return with me before starting this process.

The cost of return postage is your responsibility in full, and you need to ensure the item is packaged correctly for safe return. I recommend tracking the item and adding insurance, as lost or damaged in transit due to packaging or transit handling, will not be refunded.

Once the item arrives back to me safe and in one piece and original condition, I will refund your purchase, minus the cost of shipping you paid for your order originally.

If the item comes back used or damaged, no refunds will be given.
